FUSE / GUIDE

What should a website proposal in Cyprus include?

A useful website proposal explains the pages, content, enquiry flow, deliverables and responsibilities after launch, as well as design and price.

Start with the visitor’s task

A restaurant visitor looking for a menu and a property buyer comparing developments need different journeys. Before requesting a quote, define the main goal: an enquiry, booking, product comparison or purchase. List the information a visitor needs before taking that step.

Define the content, not just a page count

Home, services, projects, about and contact may be a starting point. Specify who supplies copy, images and translations, and whether photography and content entry are included. A “five-page website” does not explain the workload when there are ten projects and two languages.

Name the functions you need

List mobile navigation, project filters, forms, WhatsApp, maps and integrations separately. Ask which fields can be edited instead of accepting “CMS included”. Agree where enquiries go and what visitors can do if a form fails.

Make handover testable

Before launch, check mobile readability, keyboard navigation, links and enquiry delivery together. Include page titles, descriptions, the sitemap and redirects in the acceptance list. If you are replacing a website, decide what happens to existing URLs before launch.

Agree what happens after launch

Record ownership of the domain, hosting, source files, images and licences. Discuss updates, backups, maintenance and the support period separately. If advertising or SEO is included, ask for its own scope. Publishing a website alone does not guarantee search rankings or new customers.

Send a short, practical brief

Describe your brand, customers, services, languages and main website goal. Add the existing domain, available content, integrations and intended launch date. Explain which features you like in reference websites rather than only sending links.
